Aspartika Biotech Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated on 25th March 2015 and is incubated at Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
The major goal of the company is to establish a Techno-Silk City by establishing Automated Reeling Machines to produce high-quality silk yarn. Aspartika Biotech Pvt Ltd has developed novel technologies to utilize the Sericulture Industry Waste like silkworm pupae and silkworm excreta and convert them into high-value nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products. Production of Novel products like silk protein sericin, organic/flat silk sheets etc.,
At Aspartika, we believe in a zero-waste and eco-friendly environment for all; hence we have developed a sustainable model for creating a zero-waste discharge and a sustainable green technology to produce high-value nutraceuticals from the waste generated.
Aspartika has developed and patented a Supercritical fluid extraction process technology. It is a completely zero waste discharge process where the discarded silkworm pupa is converted into high-value pharmaceutical grade Omega-3 Fatty Acids and the De-oiled cake is used as a rich protein supplement in the poultry and aqua industries. There are no chemicals used in the process and all the raw materials used are completely renewable & by-products of other industries. This facility will be utilized to produce essential oil from agricultural waste such as grape seed oil, sandalwood seed oil, and pomegranate seed oil
Our technologies have been supported by the Government of India & the Government of Karnataka under the DBT-BIG, BIRAC BIPP, BIRAC-PCP, and Idea2PoC-GoK schemes
Aspartika Biotech has also collaborated with ICAR University – Sher E Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir for the utilization of silkworm excreta to produce pharmaceutical-grade products.

The company has established a DSIR-GoI recognized in-house R&D facility & ISO 9001:2015, WHO-GMP, AYUSH-GMP recognized production facility.
